Blog 5a: Problem Statement

1.) Drifting
2.) When drivers collide with one another or the wall their engines could be damaged especially since the materials used to fabricate bumpers are very lightweight and provide poor protection. So, my solution would be an attempt to reinforce materials while still keeping them lightweight so that the engine would not be in as much danger.
3.) When drifting, their is large plumes of smoke that rise on the track due to spinning tires at a fast speed.  This gives the driver in the chase position low visibility and causes accidents especially at night when the track lights are on.  My solution would be an attempt to figure out a way to take care of the smoke problem weather it be through the lighting or some sort of modification to the car.
