Recently, in a quest for drift knowledge, I tried to contact drivers who could help me out. During my service learning at Adams Motorsports Park I witnessed many pro and pro am drivers doing practice runs preparing for competition or just going out to have some fun. Amongst these was a driver known as Spike Chen who is Adams crown jewel. The community loves to hear his roaring V8 powered Nissan 240sx drift around the track. He is kind of a celebrity within the community. Time after time he made my jaw drop as he pulled off some of the most mind blowing drifts. Spike is currently competing in Pro Amateur drift series' to receive his Formula Drift license, and he is good. An interview with him would be perfect because he is literally living out my essential question.
So in my attempt to make contact I received this.
Needless to say I was floored. No drift pun intended. Or maybe pun intended. So, as of now I am in contact with Mr. Chen to nail down what will be one of the coolest interviews of my entire project.
A HUMONGOUS thanks to Mr. Spike Chen for being such a genuine guy and for being an inspiration to an aspiring drifter.
